Archinstall is broken on November 2024 ISO image while installing pipewire.

Description:

Hello.

I tried to install in a virtual machine (for some tests) an Archlinux with Gnome. But I noticed it breaks with a lot of python related content.

My settings? French locale and timezone, one user account, pipewire for sound and networkmanager for network related settings.

Archinstall log: https://0x0.st/XGqd.log

First line of the error log:

Installing packages: ['pipewire', 'pipewire-alsa', 'pipewire-jack', 'pipewire-pulse', 'gst-plugin-pipewire', 'libpulse', 'wireplumber']
['/usr/bin/arch-chroot', '/mnt/archinstall', 'su', '-', 'fred', '-c', 'systemctl enable --user pipewire-pulse.service'] exited with abnormal exit code [1]: [0;1;31mFailed to connect to bus: Aucun médium trouvé[0m

Aucun médium trouvé = No media found.

And of course, Archinstall works flawlessly with October 2024 ISO image.

Additional info:

  • Archinstall 2.8.6

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Grab november 2024 ISO image
  2. Create a virtual machine
  3. In archinstall, select pipewire for audio
  4. Wait
