# Description:
<!-- Describe the bug in full detail. -->
When trying to start ardour9 in Arch (Gnome Wayland session), it coredumps immediately. With a classic Gnome session, this can't be reproduced. Looks like a floating point issue from what I see
# Additional info:
<!-- The exact package version is compulsory. -->
* package version(s): 9.2-2
* config and/or log files: I'll try to attach the coredump info if possible, please see below...
* link to upstream bug report, if any: https://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=10244
# Steps to reproduce:
<!-- Describe how to reproduce the bug step by step including the commands -->
1. start ardour9
2. take over configuration from ardour8 or not, makes no difference
3. start with an empty template
4. coredumps...[ardour9_coredump_20260313.txt](/uploads/b9674fc8e6bc2f309f86d9f025b78fb8/ardour9_coredump_20260313.txt)
5. don't know if I can insert the complete 37.2MB file here, but I'll try... [core.ArdourGUI.1000.cf17007ea9bf418e8ecf7007025a6f14.8316.1773387265000000.zst](/uploads/292799d09afe81b367ac74af93ba252b/core.ArdourGUI.1000.cf17007ea9bf418e8ecf7007025a6f14.8316.1773387265000000.zst)
When starting with a Gnome classic session, it works. Coredumps on KDE Plasma as well, so like Robin Gareus from upstream mentioned, it's probably Wayland related...
Thanks and cheers,
Wolfgang
