Shared library doesn't get built on some platforms
Description
Libtool 2.5.0+1+g38c166c8-1 has a bug that breaks building of shared libraries on some systems like mips64. It has been fixed in the upstream commit. Thus it would be enough that Arch Linux upgrades to a newer Git snapshot.
The bug might not matter for Arch Linux itself but it affects creation of distribution tarballs. Those tarballs get built on many kinds of systems. For example, XZ Utils 5.2.13, 5.4.7, and 5.6.2 releases were created using this Libtool version and thus those tarballs don't build without a tiny patch or workaround on some systems.
I'm aware that using a development version of Libtool for creating release tarballs is risky but I have found it a good compromise as the development versions also include fixes that aren't in a stable release. Sometimes a problem like this happens though; I'm not blaming Arch or Libtool upstream for this issue. :-)
