MT7925 wifi throughput halved with 6.13.2. Works fine with 6.13.1

Description:

The MT7925 wifi chip that came with my Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite is showing massive wifi throughput regressions with kernel 6.13.2. I can usually get 650-750 Mbit/s when testing wifi <-> lan, but with today's 6.13.2 update, I am getting around 200 Mbit/s. Downgrading back to 6.13.1 fixes it.

Additional info:

  • package version(s): linux-6.13.2.arch1-1, linux-headers-6.13.2.arch1-1
  • config and/or log files:
  • link to upstream bug report, if any:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Test MT7925 throughput with 6.13.1 and earlier. Notice full bandwidth
  2. Test MT7925 throughput with 6.13.2. Notice bandwidth is reduced by half or more.
