MD Raid linear module missing from 6.8 onwards

On the commit 977f5da0 Several modules has been dropped from final Linux build One of then is the linear.ko which i use daily on my system.

The change was in the line: 977f5da0

trying to create a raid linear with mdadm on linux-6.8.1 gives the error: mdadm: RUN_ARRAY failed: Invalid argument and leave the message on the kernel buffer: md: personality for level -1 is not loaded! -1 stands for raid linear as per: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v6.8/admin-guide/md.html?highlight=raid+linear#raid-level

On linux-6.7.9 works fine.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
