Backwards Flatpak dependency?

The malcontent package lists flatpak as one of its dependencies. I do not know if this is true, but I know for sure that the opposite is true: flatpak does not work without malcontent. Please see this flatpak issue: https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/issues/5264. So it seems like malcontent should be flatpak's dependency, not the other way around.
