50% Loss in performance in games - AMD rx6800 RADV

Hi,

I have noticed a 50% decrease in FPS in a number of games under Steam

I have a rx6800 and a ryzen 5900x, in the following game I used to have up to few weeks ago (i haven't run games since last mesa update) locked 60 FPS, now I get about 30 FPS with 99% GPU utilization:

  • Baldur's Gate 3 (startup menu and in game)
  • Elden Ring (in game)
  • Shadow of War (in game)

mangohud shows GPU at 99% and high CPU utilization.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. launch a game (under Steam) with magohud overlay and check FPS & GPU utilization
