Wayland Support
Description:
When Cinnamon first released their support for Wayland, it worked just fine. I just tried to go into a Wayland session after not using it for awhile, and it froze up and gave me a black screen. I originally thought that there was an issue with a cinnamon itself, so I opened up an issue with the Mint people here: https://github.com/linuxmint/wayland/issues/111. They said that it's an Arch packaging problem, but they were very specific regarding the issue involved. They said that the package should be rebased on mutter, and needs this added as well: -Degl_device=true. Hopefully, this will fix the issues that Cinnamon is having with Wayland. I've ruled out a nvidia issue and a kernel issue. See upstream report.
Additional info:
- package version(s): Cinnamon 6.2.9-1

- link to upstream bug report, if any: https://github.com/linuxmint/wayland/issues/111
Steps to reproduce:
I switched my session from X to Wayland.
