1.12.2 doesn't prompt for VPN password, fails to connect

Description:

The switch from 1.12.0 to 1.12.2 causes nm-applet to no longer pop up a Password request when connecting to an OpenVPN connection. This leads to an immediate connection failure. I want the password prompt, no other solution (like keyring, ...)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have a VPN config with passwords set to 'ask every time'
  2. Upgrade from 1.12.0 to 1.12.2
  3. Attempt to connect, check logs.
