Suppress launch via dbus-daemon
Description:
When starting certain apps, Nextcloud launches automatically. This was previously reported in the forums in 2020, and the maintainer fixed it by moving cloudproviders support (e.g. /usr/share/dbus-1/services/com.nextcloudgmbh.Nextcloud.service
) was into a separate package; this included the commit message:
With cloudproviders support, nextcloud-client is invoked by systemd automatically
when a file dialog of a GTK+ application is created. It is considered annoying
by many users [1][2], hence the split.

However, the nextcloud-client
package has recently re-added cloudproviders, which causes the client to automatically launch again. As per the threads and commit message above, this is quite annoying. Is it possible to keep the files in nextcloud-client-cloudproviders
separate?
Additional info:
There is no clear way to disable this automatic launching, apart from deleting the files manually and added them to NoExtract
.
- package version(s): nextcloud-client 2:3.11.0-3
Steps to reproduce:
- Launch a GTK+ app
