Upstream bug: Ghost entries in Listview

Cherry-pick fix for ghost entries in listview. See QTBUG-127340

+  git cherry-pick -n 281f620ceea03e7a222d796ae0cca917a9778368

This brings us back to what we had in 6.7.2. 6.8.1 carries this patch along with an alternative solution to the patch it was trying to do.

I have run with that commit on top of 6.8.0 locally.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
