Description:

I'm using wpa_supplicant for wifi direct for non-work reasons, and I'm hitting a crash that's fixed upstream by:

Would be nice to cherry-pick that commit.

Steps to reproduce:

1. It's somewhat convoluted because you need multiple machines and so, and needs some code that I haven't published yet. Since it's a trivial null-check I don't think it's worth the churn of creating a somewhat reduced test-case.
