They are hardly maintainable and got broken in MediaWiki 1.42.

From the release notes [1]:

Skin style tweaks

Currently a single value 0.5em is set for all skins in
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/MediaWiki:Common.css

Especially the margin-bottom is important.

This moves a general style override from
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/MediaWiki:Common.css

Most styles related to page content can be applied on .mw-body-content
rather than #content.

The rule does not apply, all three skins that we "support" set a
different color for text in the footer using more specific selectors.
Given that nobody noticed and complained, it is not a feature worth
keeping.

padding on a table does not have any effect when border-collapse is
collapse.

The .mw-content-ltr and .mw-content-rtl classes are applied on the same
element as .mw-body-content and there is no need to be specific with ltr
and rtl.

Timeless skin for Arch (take 2)

The z-order fix did not work, using grid layout to align the "Page
tools" menu to the left avoids the problem.

MediaWiki 1.41 changed the Vector 2022 skin's header, so its background
color is now white. Fix it to use Arch's blue background.

Change @link-color-visited to the MediaWiki default
