[RFE] Faster mirrrors

Created by: shibumi

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I am working on molecule tests for the Arch Linux infrastructure, we want to use the vagrant box for it. Right now we need to manually set a good mirror via raw command, because the vagrant box has all mirrors enabled (the possibility is high to use a bad and very slow mirror).

Therefore we need a solution that sets fast mirrors in our boxes.

Problem:

  1. we have no idea where the box will be located in the future (therefore it's difficult to set a mirror)
  2. we don't want to blowup the VM even more..

Describe the solution you'd like Here are some possible solutions:

  1. We just set our Tier 1/2 mirrors in the mirrorlist
  2. We generate a new mirrorlist on first boot via rankmirrors or reflector

Describe alternatives you've considered The alternative is setting a mirror manually.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
