Some questions on improving archiso release
Hi folks, looking at the ISO released in march, some questions rise up for me:
The structure of the ISO: The ISO hides the EFI partition, if you just open it with standard GUI iso tool or mounting it with -o loop. This is not really transparent.
What are the goals of improving the ISO release: Should grub really replace the systemd-boot? Should the size of the ISO be smaller?
- Potential would be to arrange it, that the initrd is not placed twice on the iso. (approx. 60 MB saving).
- In shrinking it further stuff needs to be removed, which is not really needed on installation media. Is this a wanted approach? (eg. removing man pages, info files, locales etc.)
Thanks for your answers.
