The new libx11 version seems to break xim's behavior and cannot be typed on XWayland/Gtk2 Apps
Description:
The new libx11 version seems to break xim's behavior and cannot be typed on XWayland/Gtk2.
We cannot enter any characters using Xim when setting XMODIFIERS.
Maybe we should revert the change.
Additional info:
- package version(s): 1.8.8
- config and/or log files:
- link to upstream bug report, if any: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/-/issues/205
Steps to reproduce:
- set XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx
- Open a program that uses xim and try to type (Chromium on Xwayland/GTK2 Program(Gimp))
- Cannot enter any characters and shortcuts
