Python packages screen empty

Description:
The "python packages" screen, reachable by clicking the "python packages" item in the lower left, always appears empty as in the attached screenshot, with "nothing to show". On the other hand, the upstream vanilla pycharm community (from the decompressed tgz) correctly populates the screen (see screenshot). As far as I can tell the only difference is that the upstream version uses a bundled java, while the archlinux version uses a separet openjdk.
