Add --assume-installed as a configuration option in pacman.conf
Description:
Comes from FS#73114.
Currently you can pass the --assume-installed
option to pacman
when installing or upgrading but this option is not available in the configuration.
It would be very interesting if this option existed in the configuration similar to IgnorePkg
(maybe something like AssumeInstalledPkg
?).
Additional info:
In my particular case I use this when I install or update devtools
because devtools
depends on subversion
and mercurial
(to create that kind of packages), but as I don't work with subversion
or mercurial
I don't need those packages to be installed and therefore I usually run the following:
pacman -S devtools --assume-installed subversion --assume-installed mercurial
Or for update my system:
pacman -Syu --assume-installed subversion --assume-installed mercurial
