Are networkmanager-l2tp aware of this. There's no issues in their tracker or development in this regard. Or is there a modern plugin for this?

Correct, but what this option does is merely compile some plugins and the ipsec binaries. These will however be loaded by default given how strongS...

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess it was only added in dccbc1a4 to maintain backward compatibility with the 5.x versions..

I should also point out that just loading stroke creates a different UNIX socket for this, /run/charon.ctl. This does not output the same configura...

If this is really considered necessary due to #3 (closed), I would suggest the approach Ubuntu/Debian chose in that they package this separately, see here....

Have you looked at my open merge requests to remove libsoup from package dependencies or swap from webkit2 to webkit2-4.1 which uses libsoup3?

I don't really have any opinion on this. At the moment, there's still quite a bunch of packages depending on libsoup. Also, curl is the much better...
